• Claude has a new upgrade: Claude 3.7 Sonnet²¹⁴. The coding beast is now even better at it and comes with a new mode: Extended Thinking. The same model can give you instant answers in normal mode or take its time to reason over your request in the Extended Thinking mode. It works with images too and yes, the thinking steps are visible to users.

  • Extended Thinking mode is also available for developers where they can set a budget for thinking tokens (priced the same as normal output tokens).

  • Claude Code²⁰⁴, a command line tool is in limited research preview now. It can search codebases, edit files, write tests, and commit to GitHub—all from the terminal.

  • Also, you can now connect your GitHub repos to Claude’s web app.

• Google’s Video generation model, Veo 2, is quietly popping up on other platforms like Freepik¹⁰⁵ and Fal AI¹⁴⁰. The pricing on Fal is $1.25 for 5 seconds of video and $0.25 for every extra second. That’s half of what Google’s Official pricing page⁶⁹ says.

• The 'everything builder' enters beta: Memex³⁰³ launches its desktop-native AI-Builder that turns conversations into working software. What sets it apart: Memex can run, test, and improve its own code. Build apps, automation, or data tools on any stack. BB readers get extra free credits with code ‘BB’!*

• Perplexity is launching a new browser, Comet⁶⁴⁷. It’s built for agentic search and the waitlist is now open.
