OpenAI, Google, Microsoft and Anthropic have formed a Frontier Model Forum. ⁴³⁶The purpose of this body is to oversee safe ‘frontier AI’ development. The goals include promoting AI safety research, responsible development, and societal applications. The forum is also open for membership from other companies that meet certain criteria.

Stability AI Announces Stable Diffusion XL 1.0³²⁷. The latest version now has 3.5B parameter base model. In layman's terms, improvements include more accurate color, higher contrast, and finer details to the output of the base model.

Also, Stability launched StableSwarmUI³¹⁰ open source - A multi-GPU platform for swarm generation integrating ComfyUI.

Talking about Amazon Bedrock, Amazon expands Bedrock with conversational agents and new third-party models⁵⁰². Bedrock is Amazon’s platform that provides a way to build generative AI-powered apps via pre-trained models.

SDXL 1.0 is there, and so is Anthropic’s Claude 2. Cohere is also bringing its enterprise AI⁹⁶ offering to Amazon Bedrock.
