China’s version of Google is releasing a ChatGPT-style technology⁵⁵⁹

The British Chinese are coming! The British Chinese are coming! China’s version of Google, Baidu, just announced their intention⁵⁵⁹ to release their equivalent of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and integrate it into their products - and it’ll be as early as March! This is big news that raises a big question: If the media is censored in China, then is the model going to be trained on censored data? And if so, will it be able to respond with a personality that deviates from censorship despite this?
